Incentives
Incentives are available for employers and 'new apprentices' registered under a Training Agreement with the relevant State/Territory training authority. If you would like to find out more about the benefits of having a 'new apprentice' in your business or have already made up your mind, contact your local New Apprenticeship Centre or your local Seafood Industry Training Advisory Body to start the ball rolling.

Three types of new incentives became available on 1 January 2003:
- innovation incentive
- school based new apprenticeships incentive
- rural and regional skills shortage incentive
A more streamlined system of New Apprenticeship incentives will become available in July 2003.
